Meet Ash, Your Buxton Brewery Lead Brewer.

We thought it was about time to formally introduce you to just one of the many extraordinary minds behind our world-famous beer, Ash Linnet.

Ash joined Buxton Brewery back in August 2025, after moving on from his previous role as Head Brewer at Collyfobble Brewery, Dronfield, where he spent 3 years refining his skills in both brewing and leading a team in a highly demanding industry environment.

Before Collyfobble, Ash spent 6 years prior as a brewer, at a highly progressive and modern brewery, Black Iris Brewery where he was able to refine further his love for the craft. Fresh from gaining his Masters degree in brewing science, the only way was up and the path was clear. Ash, was on a mission climb to the very top.

Like many of us, Ash’s love of brewing started at home, on a home-brew kit. Over a decade later, hundreds of recipes and experimental brews, Ash now leads the brewing team at Buxton.

When asked “why Buxton?” his reply was simple and straight to the point.

“Buxton are the godfathers of craft.”

He then went on to explain –

“The craft beer scene in the UK would not be where it’s at today without Buxton brewery. Paving the way for all to follow, I had to be a part of that story!”

Ash currently travels 42 miles a day to be with us at Buxton Brewery and works tirelessly long shifts to make sure that the beer tastes as good today as it always has, after all, we are the godfathers of craft.
